Introduction
As a travel organisation we are in the business of selling people a different environment than their day to day life. Holiday destinations are often popular because of their climate, beauty and the activities that the landscape makes possible such as sailing, skiing, hiking and biking. It is important that we consider both our home, working and destination environments in all aspects of the business.
The Sustainable Tourism section of the website provides information about the ways in which we operate our business to support environments, communities and wildlife and helps our customers to play their part in responsible travel.
Since 2003, Crystal has been awarded the CarbonNeutral® brand mark
for their head office in Kingston and their call centre in Harlow. For
this we measure our CO2 emissions, put in place a plan to reduce, and
that includes immediate actions to offset through forestry in Oxfordshire,
waste gas power projects and energy efficient lighting in various parts
of the world. Crystal is also working with The CarbonNeutral Company
on an innovative programme to allow customers to take part in the CarbonNeutral®
programme, offsetting the greenhouse gas emitted from their flights.
