Olympic Gold Medallist and World Cup Alpine Ski Champion Lindsey Vonn took some time on Sunday 1 April to ski with some of her biggest fans on Vail Mountain as part of the resort’s exclusive Ski Girls Rock programme. A few lucky girls from around the globe, including representatives from Brazil, England and Canada, in addition to a select handful of girls who participated in the Ski Girls Rock lesson program this season, were chosen to return to Vail to ski with their idol as a part of Vonn’s homecoming celebration.
These girls included Georgia Rawlins from England who travelled to Breckenridge with Crystal Ski and was given this one-in-a-lifetime chance to meet the famous and glamorous ski racer. Georgia, who is 11 years old from Tonbridge, Kent, has three younger brothers and was delighted to have a ‘girls day’ with Lindsey.
Georgia and her family were invited on an all expenses day trip to Vail as part of Vail Resorts’ ‘Operation Elevation’ which aims to surprise and delight guests and exceed expectations at Vail Resorts. Her brothers enjoyed a day of skiing with Vail’s Children’s Ski School.
