Crystal will this winter offer even more choice for skiers by adding fifteen new ski resorts in Europe and North America.
Exceptional early booking offers have been introduced including:
- free six-day lift passes saving up to £196 per person,
- free half-day crèche or kids clubs worth £100 and
- an additional free place for groups
These offers are available on selected departures in January and March and must be booked before end of October.
We also have thousands of free kids places available on all dates in the season, including peaks.
New for 2008/9 is a discount scheme to encourage beginners: introduce a beginner friend to skiing or snowboarding and receive £100 off your holiday.
And to make it even more affordable, we have lowered the deposit to £39 per person for all European holidays (book before 31 August).
Mathew Prior, managing director Crystal Ski, said: “We know that the British skier is resilient and is highly likely to take his/her holiday in spite of the economic outlook. Our customers say that they would not take a short break and would eat out fewer times rather than giving up their main winter holiday. Crystal is delighted to support those who make up their mind early. If you book before October you can save up to £500 per family* – all you have to spend now is £39 per person for the deposit.”
* free lift pass for adults, free half-day crèche.
Fifteen new destinations
This winter Crystal is adding Spain and the resorts of Formigal and Sierra Nevada. Formigal is Spain’s largest resort which has recently expanded into four valleys. It is a perfect resort for families and with the new direct flights to Huesca, transfer time has been cut to just over one hour. Sierra Nevada, where eating and partying is as important as skiing, is one the highest resorts in Europe in the mountains above Granada.
In Switzerland Crystal will feature the new additions of Arosa, Flims, Laax, Lenzerheide, Savognin and Veysonnaz. The classic Swiss village of Arosa offers skiing at high altitude and the link with Lenzerheide in 2009/10 will transform the resort. Flims and Laax have one of the largest linked areas in Switzerland with over 220km of piste. The new Rocks Resort in Laax is a unique building with exclusive apartments in contemporary style.
Lenzerheide is a small pretty village making an excellent retreat in the mountains. Savognin’s large ski area with wide open pistes are perfect for those carvers and the Pinocchio Club welcomes kids from 2 ½ years. Veysonnaz is one of the villages of the 4 Valleys with an impressive 412km of piste.
Two new destinations in Canada, Revelstoke and heli-skiing in the Selkirk and Purcell mountains in BC, are ideal for those in search of powder snow.
Ever keen to pioneer new ski destinations, this winter Crystal is introducing four new Austrian resorts: Galtür, Fügen, Niederau and Telfes.
The small village of Galtür has a cosy, Tirolean atmosphere with excellent facilities for families and children. Located in the same valley as Mayrhofen, Fügen has direct access to 176km of piste in the combined ski area of Hochzillertal/Hochfügen. But the lift pass also includes the ski area of Mayrhofen, the 3250 metres Hintertux Glacier with its 365 days a year guaranteed skiing and the Zell am Ziller/Gerlos – in total over 450km of piste with all areas linked by ski buses and the valley’s train.
Niederau is an ideal resort for beginners and our new crèche and kids club will attract families as well as everyone who is up for the real winter experience. In Telfes, Austria’s smallest four star Hotel Oberhofer, offers first rate accommodation, exceptional cuisine and the hotel doesn’t accept children under 12 years of age.
A new Italian resort of Madonna di Campiglio, a chic, very Italian resort amid stunning scenery.
Crystal is increasing its routes to European ski destinations with new flights from Gatwick to Huesca (Spain), Birmingham to Grenoble (France), East Midlands airport to Innsbruck (Austria) and Glasgow to Turin (Italy).
With Crystal you not only have more destinations to fly to, you also have more UK departure airports from which to choose. Which means you can go to wherever you want from wherever you want.
