SEVEN NEW RESORTS

France
Châtel: family-orientated Savoyard village resort with superb Portes du Soleil ski area. Skiing is separated in two distinct areas, one connecting to the Swiss face and the other to the Avoriaz and beyond.
ü Les Fermes de Apartments Châtel 4*: brand new high-quality ski-in/out apartments in centre of Châtel with indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Hotel kids-club.

Sainte Foy: quiet ski resort nestled deeply and discreetly in the Tarentaise valley close to Les Arcs. It has a friendly, authentic village atmosphere and pretty, traditional Savoyard architecture. There is rarely a queue to be seen at a chairlift and ski runs are often empty.
ü Etoile des Cimes Apartments 4*: slopeside location, indoor pool, spa with sauna and Jacuzzi; hotel-run kids club.

Italy
Arabba: low key, peaceful and quiet village on the Sella Ronda with some of the steepest sections on the circuit and plenty of challenges for the more seasoned skier with heli-skiing and off-piste on the Marmolada glacier.
ü Sporthotel Arabba 4*: close to slopes, spa facilities, family-run hotel.

Corvara & Colfosco: where Alta Badia meets the Sella Ronda ski area, one of the best locations in the Italian Dolomites for endless slopes. The Alta Badia area has over the recent years built up a gourmet culture, on and off the mountain.
ü Sporthotel Panorama 4*: slopeside location, indoor pool, spa facilities.

Switzerland
Engelberg: fabulous off-piste skiing, lively après-ski town and a revolving Mount Titlis cable car. Of course, the resort has also cosy mountain restaurants like the Brunnihutte, gourmet restaurants offering international cuisine and even a take-away restaurant Alpenclub.
 Hotel Terrace 3*: lift pass included, Belle Époque dining room, Porticos lounge and bar, sauna and steam room.

Germany
Ruhpolding: Bavaria’s winter wonderland surrounded by snowy meadows and scenic mountains, ski and other activities to suit all tastes from cross-country skiing to driving piste bashers. Novice skiers can ski on the local mountain for free; more advanced skiers will prefer the nearby larger ski area.
ü Alpenhotel Wittelsbach 4*: impeccable personal service, individual style, carefully designed country hotel which fuses traditional values with modern design.

Finland
– Pyhä: at the edge of a national park with a dramatic background of frozen lakes, waterfalls and snow-covered forest. For night skiing, lifts are open to 7pm for those who just can’t get enough.
ü Pyhä Suites 4*: Modern apartments with private saunas just steps from the ski slopes

New flights
Birmingham to Verona for Italian resorts; London Heathrow to Toulouse for Andorra; Luton to Zurich for Switzerland and an additional flight from Gatwick to Innsbruck for Austria.

Overall prices
Start at £339 per person (based on four sharing) for a week’s self catering at the Sunotel apartments in Les Carroz near Flaine, France, including return flights from London Gatwick to Geneva and transfers departing on 9 January 2016.

The price for a family of four for a week’s half board costs from £1,577 at the three-star ski-in ski-out Hotel Alpina in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, with flights from Luton and airport transfers over Christmas (departure 19 December 2015).
